What this website is

This website is a public-facing patient education resource maintained by Dr. Rehan Abdullah, a Lahore-based Consultant Clinical & Radiation Oncologist. It explains common cancers, treatments, side effects, and practical questions in plain English so that patients and their families feel less overwhelmed at the start of their cancer journey.

What this website is not

  • Not a diagnostic tool. Reading these pages cannot tell you what cancer you have or what stage it is. Only a physician with access to your reports, examination, and imaging can do that.
  • Not a treatment plan. Every patient\'s treatment is individualised based on tumour biology, overall health, prior treatments, goals, and many other factors. General descriptions on this site are not what we will recommend for you.
  • Not an emergency service. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital. Do not rely on this website or on contacting the clinic.
  • Not a prescription. Drug names, doses, and schedules mentioned in patient education are illustrative. Do not self-medicate, share medications, or adjust your own treatment based on anything you read here.

How information is reviewed

Pages are written and reviewed by Dr. Rehan Abdullah. The "Page last reviewed" date at the bottom of each medical content page indicates when the page was last updated. Oncology is a rapidly evolving field; while we make every effort to keep content current and accurate, gaps and lag are unavoidable.
